Dr. Robert Levine is a renowned implantsurgeon and periodontist, highly respected in the dental community for his extensive training and expertise. As a highly regarded speaker, he imparts his audience with valuable information and a greater understanding of the benefits of dental implants and periodontal care. Clinical Associate Professor in Periodontology, Post-Graduate Periodontics, Periodontal Prosthesis and Implantology, University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Robert Levine maintains a full time private practice in the Einstein Center One Building in Northeast Philadelphia focusing on Surgical Implant Placement, Cosmetic Oral Plastic Surgical Procedures, Regenerative Therapy, Adult Orthodontics and Oral Medicine. He is Chairman Emeritus of Periodontics at Albert Einstein Medical Center (1984-2003) and presently is Clinical Associate Professor of Periodontics in the Post-Graduate Department of Periodontics, Periodontal Prosthesis and Implantology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He has held teaching positions in the Post-Graduate Department of Fixed Prosthodontics at Temple University School of Dentistry.
Dr. Levine is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and serves on the Editorial Boards of the Journal of Periodontology, Inside Dentistry, Practical Procedures and Aesthetic Dentistry, WorldDent.Com, Implant Realities, Contemporary Esthetics and Restorative Practice, Collaborative Techniques and The Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry where he served as Sections Editor in Periodontics for eight years. He has authored/co-authored over 40 articles on periodontal related topics, dental implants, orthodontic-periodontics therapy and oral medicine. He is a visiting lecturer at New York University School of Dentistry and is President, founder and Program Chairman of the Northeast Philadelphia Dental Implant and Perio-Prosthesis Study Club since 1984, which is dedicated to providing cutting-edge continuing education courses to the areas dental community.
Dr. Levine lectures extensively nationally and internationally on dental implant and oral plastic reconstructive and aesthetic procedures. He has been featured on numerous local and national television and radio shows and is on the Medical Advisory Board of MDTV, a national patient advocacy group which delivers medical communication and education through its award-winning news television program, public service announcements and video news releases. Dr. Levine is featured in a half-hour program on MDTV entitled Periodontists: Dental Implants and Oral Plastic Surgery, where he discusses SameDay Smile, a procedure that allows patients to complete an implant surgery and leave the dental chair with beautiful, functional teeth in a single visit. One of the pioneers of the immediate load revolution In dental implants, Dr. Levine is one of only a handful of peridontists nationwide who have been performing this procedure for more then 10 years. In 1997 he was appointed to the prestigious International Team for Implantology (ITI) of Waldenberg, Switzerland committed to implant teaching and research with only 300 members world-wide.
His wife, Dr. Sheryl Radin, has a pediatric dental practice at Floral Vale in Yardley, Pennsylvania. Dr. Levines hobbies include skiing, hiking, photography, scuba diving, and he has coached soccer, baseball and softball for his children.
Dr. Levine also presents American Civil War programs to local schools, synagogues, churches, colleges, Boy Scouts and community civic organizations.These programs are an outgrowth of his involvement with the 69th Pennsylvania Regiment Civil War Reenactment Group. The group partakes in reenactment and living histories throughout the east coast and is dedicated to Civil War battlefield preservation. Dr. Levine plays guitar in the 69th Pennsylvania Irish Volunteers a Civil War Band that contributes generous funding for preservation. They play at local venues in the Delaware and Lehigh Valleys, and the Gettysburg area. The reenactment regiment, which has raised over $75,000 and the band has recorded two musical CDs, Rock of Erin (2002) and In Their Honor(2006). All proceeds are donated for tombstone dedications, battlefield preservation and educational grants to promote the learning and preservation of American history.
